Responsible gambling for UK players

If gambling is hurting you or someone close to you, start with the help services in the first section below.

Free help for UK players

Call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 if you are in England or Scotland, or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 if you are in Wales.

GambleAware says its support services are available only to Great Britain residents. We did not capture a Northern Ireland help line, so we name none.

We hold no phone number for Gamstop or GambleAware, so use their websites.

Keep it in proportion

Decide how much time and money you can afford to spend before you start, and set a limit in your account before you play, not during a losing run. Take a break whenever play stops feeling like a choice.

The casinos on this site each state their own tools, and the tools differ, so read the responsible gambling page of the casino you use before you play.

Jackpotjoy lists Deposit Limits, Stake Limits, a Session Limit, Account Cool Off and Account Self Exclusion.

Lottomart lists deposit limits, net loss limits, session duration reminders, a timeout of up to 30 days and self-exclusion.

Gala Bingo and Foxy Bingo each list Deposit Limits, a Max Stake Limit, a Curfew, a Reality Check, Play Breaks, Time Out and Self-exclusion.

Lucky VIP and Kitty Bingo each list Net Deposit Limits, Gross Deposit Limits, Take A Break, Self Exclusion and Reality Check.

Sister sites and self-exclusion

A sister site is never a way around a self-exclusion. If you have self-excluded, or are thinking about it, do not open an account on any other gambling site, whoever runs it.

Gamstop Online blocks you from gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain once you register, and that covers sister sites with a Great Britain licence.

Each gambling business must also run its own self-exclusion arrangements, and its own terms decide how far they reach. Here is what each casino's terms say.

Under Jackpotjoy's terms, self-excluding means you may not open or use a Member account with any company in the Gamesys Group.

Lottomart's terms only encourage you to extend your self-exclusion to other operators where you hold an account, so tell each of them yourself.

Lottoland lists a voluntary self-exclusion tool, but the pages we read do not say how far it reaches, so ask its support before you rely on it.

Gala Bingo's terms require that you have not excluded yourself, with Gala Bingo, with another Entain brand or with a multi-operator service such as Gamstop.

At Foxy Bingo you can ask for a self-exclusion to cover every brand run by the Entain Group. If you do not ask, it applies to Foxy Bingo only.

For Lucky VIP, Kitty Bingo and Lucky Pants Bingo, a self-exclusion covers every account you hold on gaming sites run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd.

Mecca Bingo's terms say its self-exclusion applies to all of its websites and associated mobile apps.

Butlers Bingo's terms refer to a self-exclusion on any of its casino or bingo brands, including its website, as well as one made through a multi-operator service such as Gamstop or GamProtect.

We name two bingo sites as sisters only where the same company runs both or the same owner stands behind both. A shared licence on its own does not make two sites sisters. Our method is set out in how we find bingo sister sites, and the sites we cover are listed under bingo sister sites.

Adults only

Gambling is for adults only. In most cases, the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18, and Sister Sites Bingo is written for readers aged 18 or over.

If a phone, tablet or computer is shared with someone under 18, do not leave a gambling account signed in on it, and keep your log-in details and payment cards private.

To block gambling websites and apps on a shared device, look in the device settings and in your internet provider's account page for parental controls or website blocking, and switch on the blocking of gambling sites if the setting is there.
